王建民,作曲家、教育家。上海音樂學院教授、博士生導師,曾任南京藝術學院音樂學院院長,上海音樂學院附中常務副校長,上海音樂學院民樂系系主任,現任中國民族管弦樂學會副會長,中國音樂家協會理事,教育部本科評估專家。1956年,出生於江蘇省無錫市;1971年,進入無錫藝校學習長號、大提琴等專業,之後學習作曲;1977年,以優異的成績畢業於南京藝術學院,其後再返回無錫市歌舞團從事專業創作;1982年,調回南京藝術學院;1987年,畢業於上海音樂學院。王建民譜寫了大量各類體裁的音樂作品,尤其在民族器樂創作領域中卓有建樹。主要作品有:《第一二胡狂想曲》(獲全國第六屆音樂作品評獎二等獎,一等獎空缺)、《第二二胡狂想曲》(獲中國第三屆「金鐘獎」銀獎,金獎空缺)、《天山風情》(二胡與樂隊,獲中國首屆「金鐘獎」銅獎)、《四季掠影》(單簧管與鋼琴,獲全國首屆高等音樂藝術院校單簧管作品評選優秀獎)、《幻想曲》(箏獨奏,獲文化部1995「東方杯」古箏大賽優秀作品獎)……等。其作品《二胡狂想曲》系列、古箏作品《楓橋夜泊》、《幻想曲》等,獲得了廣泛的聲譽,久演不衰並流傳於海內外。在全國各類民族器樂大賽中多次被指定為參賽必奏曲目。作品曾多次在國內外的音樂會及藝術節上演。王建民曾出訪德國、奧地利、瑞士、法國、日本、新加坡及港澳台等國家和地區,進行學術交流與講座,舉辦個人作品專場音樂會、作品首演等。
WANG Jian-min (1956 – )
WANG Jian-min is a composer and educator. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has previously served as the Dean of the Music School at Nanjing Art Institute, Executive Vice Principal of the Affiliated Middle School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and Director of the Folk Music Department at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Currently, he is the Vice President of the Chinese Traditional Orchestra Society, a council member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association, and an expert for undergraduate assessment appointed by the Ministry of Education.
WANG Jian-min was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, in 1956. In 1971, he entered the Wuxi School of Arts to study trombone, cello, and composition. After graduating with excellent results from the Nanjing Art Institute in 1977, he returned to Wuxi City Dance Company to engage in professional composition. In 1982, he was transferred back to Nanjing Art Institute and in 1987, he graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
WANG Jian-min has composed a large number of music works in various genres, particularly excelling in the field of traditional instrumental music. His major works include “Rhapsody for Erhu No. 1” (received the Second Prize in the 6th National Music Composition Awards, with the First Prize unawarded), “Rhapsody for Erhu No. 2” (received the Silver Prize in the 3rd China Golden Bell Awards, with the Gold Prize unawarded), “Tianshan Charm” (Erhu and Orchestra, received the Bronze Prize in the first China Golden Bell Awards), “Four Seasons in Shadows” (Clarinet and Piano, received the Excellence Award in the first National Higher Music Conservatories Clarinet Composition Selection), “Fantasy” (Guzheng Solo, received the Excellent Work Award in the 1995 Ministry of Culture “Oriental Cup” Guzheng Competition), and more. His works such as the “Rhapsody for Erhu” series, zither works “Night Mooring at Maple Bridge”, “Fantasy”, etc., have gained widespread acclaim and have been performed extensively both domestically and internationally. His compositions have been designated as required repertoire in various national traditional instrumental music competitions. His works have been performed in concerts and art festivals in China and abroad. WANG Jian-min has visited countries and regions such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan for academic exchanges, lectures, and personal composition concerts and premieres.
