陈耀星,一九四一年五月出生于江苏省常熟市,六岁时,从父陈舜农习二胡,继习笛、箫、琵琶、三弦及古筝等民族乐器。一九五八年,考入南京艺术学院附中,一九六一年,升入本科,师从甘涛、马友德及瞿安华等人主修二胡,并从程午嘉习琵琶。一九六三年,在广东一文艺团体任职,一九六四年,调职北京中国人民解放军第二炮兵政治部文工团,继续从陈振铎、陈朝儒、刘明源及曹正习二胡、古筝。一九七六年,创作了著名的二胡曲《战马奔腾》,在曲中创用了弹轮弓、快速双弦颤弓、外拨弦、左手扬弓及右手弹轮等弓法。一九七九年,参加全军第四届文艺汇演,分别获优秀创作奖及表演奖。一九八七年,参加首届中国艺术节民族器乐专场演出,获“金杯奖”
CHEN Yao-xing
CHEN Yao-xing was born in May 1941 in Changshu, Jiangsu province. When he was six, he started to learn the erhu and other traditional instruments from his father. In 1958, he was admitted to the affiliated secondary school of Nanjing Arts Academy. In 1961, he admitted his university course in the academy and learning the erhu under GAN Tao, MA You-de, QU An-hua and the pipa under CHENG Wu-jia. In 1963, he worked in an art unit in Guangdong. In 1964, he was transferred to the Song and Dance Troupe of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Missile Forces Department and further studied the erhu and zheng from CHEN Zhen-duo, CHEN Chao-ru, LIU Ming-yuan and CAO Zheng. In 1976, he composed the famous erhu piece The Battle-Horses Galloping by using many new techniques of his discovery. In 1979 and 1987, he got many award prizes of his performances.
