朱昌耀,一九五六年出生于江苏省南京市,自幼随舅父习二胡与京胡,亦能自拉自唱锡剧、黄梅调等,七岁时入“南京小红花艺术团”,并为二胡演奏家陈耀星指导,得益良多,且频频登台表演独奏、伴奏。一九七三年,考入南京艺术学院音乐系民族器乐专业,师从甘涛、瞿安华、马友德等专修二胡。一九七五年,选拔为江苏省代表,参加文化部主办的全国调演,崭露头角,一九七六年毕业,入江苏省歌舞团乐队任职。朱氏现任江苏省歌舞剧院副院长,为国家一级演奏员,并为江苏省音乐家协会理事、中国民族管弦乐学会理事、江苏省人民代表大会代表等。其创作有《姑苏情》、《江南春色》、《枫桥夜泊》、《欢庆锣鼓》等,在评奖中获一、二、三等奖。一九八七年起,以团长兼二胡独奏演员身份,连续七年率江苏省民族音乐歌舞团赴日本演出。
ZHU Chang-yao
ZHU Chang-yao was born in 1956 in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Since he was young, He learned the erhu and jinghu from his uncle and also the native operatic music by himself. At the age of seven, he joined the famous art group The Nanjing Little Red Flower Arts Troupe and learned the erhu under CHEN Yao-xing. In 1973, he was admitted to the Nanjing Arts Academy learning the erhu under GAN Tao, QU An-hau and MA You-de. In 1976, he graduated from the academy and was appointed to the Song and Dance Troupe of Jiangsu Province as a member of the attached orchestra. He is now the vice-president of the troupe and the national first class performer. Since 1987, he was the soloist and the head of the Jiangsu Province Traditional Music and Dance Troupe. He led the troupe to visit Japan continuously for seven years. His Compositions won many awards of first, second and third prizes in the competitions.
