古筝教育家曹正，一九二○年十二月三十一日出生于辽宁省新民县，一九九八年四月十三日病逝于北京，曹氏原名郭缉光，后易名为曹正。一九三六年，得姑父之助到北平，参加民间社团“道德学社”，得晤该社河南筝家魏子猷及其学生娄树华，并拜娄为师学筝，一九四五年，又得娄师引荐，拜梁在平门下习筝，一九四八年春，经程午加介绍在南京国立音乐院任教古筝一学期，其间，向夏一峰习古琴，同年，与范乐天、郑培新、童宜风等人在徐州发起成立“薰风筝社”，一九五○年，曹氏调渖阳鲁迅艺术学院任教，并于一九五七年至一九八九年期间，分别往西安音乐学院及上海音乐学院各任教一年。在渖阳任教期间，与朱郁之合作，将筝曲《渔舟唱晚》改编为高胡与筝二重奏，广为流传，并获辽宁省音乐创作一等奖。一九六四年秋，中国音乐学院在北京成立，被调往该院任教。曹氏为北京古筝研究会第一任会长。
CAO Zheng
CAO Zheng was born on December 31, 1920 in Xinmin, Liaoning province and passed away of illness on April 13, 1998 in Beijing. He was originally named GUO Ji-guang. In 1936, his uncle introduced him to join a local society in Beijing, where he had a chance to learn the zheng under WEI Zi-you of the Henan school and also his student LOU Shu-hua. In 1945, he was introduced by Lou to learn the zheng under LIANG Zai-ping. In 1948, he was recommended by CHENG Wu-jia to teach the zheng in the Nanjing National Conservatory for a term. During that time, he learned the guqin from XIA Yi-feng. At the same year, he and his friends FAN Le-tian, ZHENG Pei-xin and TONG Yi-feng initiated to establish the Xun Feng Zheng Society in Xuzhou. In 1950, he was appointed to teaching in Shenyang Conservatory. In 1957 and 1989, he was transferred to teach in Xi’an Conservatory and Shanghai Conservatory for a year each respectively. While in Shenyang, he made arrangement together with ZHU Yu-zi on the zheng piece Evening Song in the Fishing Boat into a duet of the gaohu and zheng, which was well received and won an award of first honor. In the Autumn of 1964, the China Conservatory was founded in Beijing, he was transferred to teach there. He was the first president of the Beijing Zheng Research Association.
