青年古筝演奏家林玲,一九六三年三月出生于广东汕头,早年师从潮州古筝名家杨秀明,一九七七年,考入中央音乐学院,一九八一年,转入中国音乐学院,师从曹正教授,邱大成,李婉芳副教授及古筝名家项斯华等,一九八五年,大学毕业,获学士学位,并以优异成绩被推荐为中国教育史上第一位免试的古筝研究生,一九八七年毕业,以学术论文《论潮州筝演奏艺术》获硕士学位。林玲在学期间,经常参加国内的各种重大演出,作为中国艺术家小组和中国弹拨乐团之成员,她出访了奥地利、日本、加拿大、菲律宾、美国、泰国、朝鲜、香港等许多国家和地区,均获好评。林玲现为中国音乐家协会会员,曾多次在国际及国内重要比赛中获奖。
LIN Ling
LIN Ling was born in March 1963 in Chaozhou, Guangdong province. She has inherited the unique style of zheng playing in the region. Her childhood zheng tutor was YANG Xiu-ming, a renowned performer of the Chaozhou school. In 1977, she was admitted to the Central Conservatory and three years later transferred to the Chia Conservatory. She studied under CAO Zheng, QIU Da-cheng, LI Yuan-fen and HON See-wah. Graduated with distinction in her Bachelor degree in 1985, she was, for the first time in the Conservatory, admitted to the Master research degree program without any examination. Her master thesis On Chaozhou Zheng Performance was completed in 1987 together with a successful graduation concert. Her performing career started early in her school years and extended beyond the campus when she was often enlisted in the National Performing Troupe and the National Plucked Instrument Troupe. She has won many prizes in National and International competitions. She is a member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association.
